Marvel Philip is the Founder and CEO of EdTheory, a multiple-time award-winning provider of special education, related services, and educational staffing solutions. A licensed Physical Therapist with over 15 years of experience across education, healthcare, and workforce innovation, Marvel has grown EdTheory from a startup into one of the fastest-growing education services companies in the country.
Under his leadership, EdTheory has earned repeated national recognition, including placement on the Inc. 5000 list of America’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies, the Inc. Regionals Pacific list, Staffing Industry Analysts’ Fastest-Growing U.S. Staffing Firms, and Top Workplace honors from Axios San Francisco and USA Today — several of them multi-year distinctions. Marvel was also named to Staffing Industry Analysts’ Staffing 100, recognizing the industry’s most influential leaders.
Marvel is passionate about addressing the critical shortage of special education and school-based mental health services nationwide. Through EdTheory and its growing family of companies — including SEEDWorks Therapy focused on school-based behavioral and mental health support; Proficio Therapy Services; Lifology USA; and Lily of the Valley Preschool — he builds technology-enabled, globally connected talent solutions that expand access to high-quality care for school districts and the students they serve.
This mission extends beyond the business itself through Project HOPE, his community initiative dedicated to increasing access to special education and mental health resources for underserved families.
